Is it possible that there are statements that always apply?, that are always "True"? And if yes, then can these statements help me navigate life, my relationships, my issues at work, etc.?
"Integration" is a psychological term for becoming whole. Due to the many unresolved traumas and unhealed woundings we carry there are parts of each us that are essentially frozen in time, frozen at the time of the trauma. our souls become split into our wounded younger selves and our more aware adult self.
A literal translation of James 1:8 says "a soul-split man [is] unstable in all his ways." James 4:8 says "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." (literally "soul-split").
An important aspect of our part in realizing the fullness of the salvation Christ paid for on the cross is to find those parts of us that are split and bring healing and wholeness to them. As Paul said in Philippians 2:12 "...continue to work out your salvation..." This is an on-going, life-long process. Healing does come, and I become more whole and less soul-split as I "continue" to work out my salvation.
These monthly workshops present a series of five step processes that can assist you in unpacking your wounds and bringing healing to them.
I say they "can assist you" because it is not automatic, one-and-done, rather the processes are intended to be repeated every time one of your wounds is uncovered, every time a part of your split soul shows itself. These workshops are not intended to "fix" anything about you, rather like the tools a surgeon uses, they are tools you can use to heal your soul.
In John 10:10 Jesus said: "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." That is what is in store for anyone who works to become more whole, a more abundant life.
